For more than 30 years, Australian-born-and-raised Jim Wolfensohn has operated in the stratosphere of global finance, culminating in his Presidency of the World Bank from 1995–2005. With his historic Yabtree West grazing property near Gundagai, however, he is staying a bit more down to earth. The gently rolling hills around Gundagai can produce a shiraz that has manifold rich flavours and, when properly handled, also an alluring softness and immediate drinkability.
